HORIZON SAILING is the only women-focussed yacht sailing school in North Wales.
We consider that women learn best when they enjoy what they are doing, sometimes but not always in the company of other women.
Whatever the level of sailing experience, we offer empathic guidance, a comfortable, safe sailing yacht and good food
Taster days are designed for anyone new to sailing; weekend trips with one or two nights on board help build skills and confidence; extended experiences of three to five days or longer, give opportunities for logging sea miles and night hours, perhaps in preparation for Royal Yachting Association (RYA) courses or as an adventurous family cruise.
Taster days are great for families and friends – just to experience what it is like being afloat and discover the magic of sailing. Perhaps as a treat or special family event
Weekend trips allow time to focus on the techniques of sailing as well as the opportunity to get away ‘from it all’, to relax and recoup energy. Great for friends or families spending time together; conversations in the cockpit and around the cabin table.
Extended cruises and holidays afloat offer flexibility; coastal hopping or offshore passages.
The activity of sailing a yacht is all about team-work – planning, monitoring, doing – an exceptional opportunity for new and established teams in businesses. To see how this works, try our longer sailing days or book an event with our partner business coaches and organisational consultants
Our sailing base is Conwy, North Wales, with exceptional coastal scenery and sheltered coastal waters of Anglesey and the Menai Straits, then further afield across the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man, Scotland or Ireland.
Horizon Sailing aims to encourage women to take the initiative, try something different, develop skills and confidence and enjoy the experience of sailing a yacht.
Join us for a weekend sailing trip in June, July, August or September.
